Video highlights from Darien baseball’s 6-1 win over New Canaan

The Darien Blue Wave and pitcher Stephen Barston picked up a big win in the FCIAC baseball playoff race as they defeated the New Canaan Rams, 6-1, Monday in New Canaan’s Mead Park.

The game was carried live by the Hersam Acorn Network and HANRadio.com.

Barston pitched a complete game, allowing one run on six hits while walking two and striking out four. The Wave took advantage of seven New Canaan errors which led to five unearned runs.

Darien kept its grip on first place in the FCIAC standings with a 15-1 league mark, one game ahead of Norwalk, which is 14-2 in the league, and two ahead of New Canaan, which is 13-3.
