The Fairfield Warde football team, still looking for its first win, faced the undefeated Staples Wreckers on a wet, windy and rainy Friday night in Westport.

The Oct. 2 game was carried live on the HAN.Network. In case you missed Friday’s game — or want to watch it again — here’s the complete broadcast of the game (no spoiler alerts in this post). Because of the high winds and rain throughout the game, HAN chose to do a one-camera shoot (instead of the typical four). The rain and wind picked up in the second half.

The Mustangs came into the game 0-2 in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference while the Wreckers were 2-0. Next Friday, Oct. 9, HAN will be in Danbury as the Hatters host the Stamford Black Knights.

Before the game, the HAN Network hosted its pre-game shows, FCIAC Tailgate and FCIAC Gameday, from inside the “HAN Cruiser,” the Network’s mobile studio. The new Staples High School principal and State Sen. Tony Hwang (who brought HAN’s Kate Czaplinski a birthday cake) appeared on FCIAC Tailgate. Some Staples players appeared on FCIAC Gameday, and Rob Adams and Dave Stewart took a look across the league.
