The Darien Blue Wave and New Canaan Rams had a dramatic football battle in Turkey Bowl XXII on Thanksgiving Day at Stamford’s Boyle Stadium.

Darien, which scored the game-winning touchdown on an 8-yard pass from Timmy Graham to Hudson Hamill in the fourth quarter, won its second consecutive FCIAC championship, 28-21.

New Canaan scored on TD runs by quarterback Michael Collins and Andrew DeFranco, and on a pass from Collins to Andrew Jahns.

The Wave’s TDs came on four touchdown passes by Graham — two to Hamill, and one apiece to Rock Stewart and Colin Minicus.

Both teams will be in action again Tuesday evening as the CIAC quareterfinals get underway.

No. 2 Darien will face No. 7 Staples in the Class LL quarterfinals at Brien McMahon High School, while No. 6 New Canaan will play at No. 3 Windsor in the Class L quarters.
