Samantha Bardos, Brien McMahon

Samantha was named captain of the McMahon softball team as a junior and a senior. She was selected to the All-FCIAC second team.

Anna Jones, Danbury

Anna excelled in the classroom as she earned High Honor Roll every semester, was a National Honors Society member, she maintained a 4.395 GPA while taking seven AP level courses – AP World History, AP U.S. History, AP English Literature, AP AB Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Environmental Science – and she was ranked 17th out of 670 students in her senior Class of 2013.

Anna was a member of the girls’ soccer and girls’ lacrosse programs every year in high school and she was also on the indoor track and field team during her first two years.

Molly Tracey, Danbury

Molly achieved High Honor Roll every quarter in high school and a 4.3172 GPA while taking courses such as AP World History, AP Calculus AP, AP U.S. History, AP Psychology, AP Statistics and AP Biology. This National Honors Society Member was ranked 26th out of 670 students in her senior Class of 2013.

She was a member of the girls lacrosse program all four years and with the girls’ soccer program during her first two years.

Gillian Kennedy, Fairfield Ludlowe

This versatile athlete excelled in the classroom as she had a 4.00 cumulative GPA while taking Honors classes such as English, Pre-Calculus, U.S. History and Drawing & Painting and taking AP Statistics and AP Chemistry. Gillian was also a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Italian Honor Society.

Gillian has been on the varsity softball team all four years and she had a .327 batting average with 20 runs scored midway through her senior year as the team’s leadoff hitter and starting right fielder. She also was a member of the basketball program as a freshman and on the indoor track and fgield team for two years.

Kate O’Shea, Fairfield Ludlowe

This junior competes in the long jump, triple jump and 400 for both the indoor and outdoor track and field teams and was a team captain during the outdoor season.

Kate maintains a 3.9 GPA. This well-rounded student is a member of the National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society and English Honors Society.

She is also an active participant and partner of Unified Sports.

Nick Nardone, Fairfield Warde

Nick, who was the starting second baseman and a member of the starting pitching rotation for the baseball team, maintained a 4.1 GPA while taking a challenging course curriculum including AP Statistics. He also earned the magna cum laude award for his score on the national Latin exam.

He was the quarterback and safety for the freshman football team and earned the Most Outstanding Freshman Award. He was also a sprinter for the indoor track and field team as a sophomore.

William B. Waesche, Greenwich

William is an excellent student-athlete and true leader who as captain of Greenwich’s strong boys ice hockey and boys’ lacrosse teams as a senior. He was named team MVP and to the All-FCIAC second team and All-State second team in ice hockey.

He had a 3.93 GPA in the middle of the school year and was a member of the Greenwich National Honor Society. In 2010 William was the GHS Individual Mathematics and Science Award Winner.

Shauna Norris, Ridgefield

Shauna is an AP and Honors student-athlete who also contributes to her community through service activities.

She has lettered in cross country and lacrosse and was co-captain of the varsity lacrosse team.

This member of the Student Government, National Honor Society and National Charity League has a cumulative GPA of 3.9 and will play Division I women’s lacrosse at American University.

Shauna has coached youth programs in lacrosse and basketball and is a certified youth lacrosse referee.

Brian J. Gavin, St. Joseph

Brian played all four years for the football and boys’ volleyball teams, the last three years as a varsity player for both programs, and he takes great pride in being a member of two state championship football teams.

He has challenged himself with many challenging class courses and consistently made Honor Roll. Brian will attend Stonehill College (Easton, Mass.) to pursue a degree in History and Secondary Education. Among his goals is to return to St. Joseph to teach and be an assistant coach for the football and volleyball teams. This spring Brian was a senior captain and a starter at front middle for the volleyball team.

H. Jared Levi, Staples

This senior capped an excellent football career by being selected to the All-FCIAC first team, the New Haven Register All-State Team as one off the top 25 players in the state and he was also selected MSG Varsity First Team All Connecticut.

He also excelled for three years in lacrosse, serving as a captain as a senior and having earned the award for most ground balls in a season during his junior year.

Academically, he received first or second Honors throughout his high school career and was selected as Student of the Month in November of 2012 and April of 2013.

William Lovallo, Trinity Catholic

This four-year varsity tennis player was team captain as a senior. He also played for the freshman boys’ basketball team.

During the 2012-13 year William was a member of the National Honor Society, he maintained a 3.6 GPA, he earned the Physics Highest Average Award and in 2011-12 he earned the Chemistry Highest Average Award.
