FCIAC hockey, hoops playoff races in the home stretch

The FCIAC regular season is in its final few weeks and the playoff races are heated.

A few teams have clinched tournament berths.

In girls ice hockey, Darien and New Canaan will be the top two seeds, with Ridgefield having clinched a bid.

In girls basketball, Warde, which is unbeaten in league play, and Trumbull have punched their tournament tickets.

The boys basketball and ice hockey playoff races are wide open, and a few teams could clinch this weekend.
