Former Ridgefield Tiger drafted by NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks

When Chad Krys heard his name called, it was by an Original Six team that has been among the National Hockey League’s model organizations over the past six years.

Krys, an 18-year-old defenseman from Ridgefield, was chosen in the second round of the 2016 NHL draft by the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday morning in Buffalo, N.Y.
