Ludlowe Falcons win FCIAC cheerleading competition

The Fairfield-Ludlowe Falcons captured their four championship in sixyears, topping the field at the annual FCIAC cheerleading competition, held Saturday at Fairfield-Warde High School.

The Falcons, who scored 172.6 to take the title, edged out Staples (150.2) and Trumbull (147.7), who rounded out the top three.

Danbury head coach Joann Tatarzycki earned the FCIAC Cach of the Year award, after her Hatters finished fifth in the varsity competition, first in the junior varsity competition, and first in the Partner-Stunts competition, held Jan. 29 at Ludlowe High School.
