The 11th Annual Annual Southwest Cafe Margarita 5K will take place this Saturday, July 29, in Ridgefield. The 3.1-mile race starts at 7 p.m. outside the restaurant, located at 109 Danbury Road. The USATF-certified course is a flat out-and-back via South Street. Proceeds from the event benefit Ridgefield Sunrise Cottage, a home to six developmentally disabled adults. The Harding wrestling program funding was cut before last season. Thanks to donations by many the team was reinstated and exists solely on self-funding. For the second year the Bridgeport Police Department is sponsoring a mini-camp at Harding High. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, Wednesday, July 26, and Thursday, July 27. Curt Casali had a huge night for the Durham Bulls, collecting a double, home run and six RBIs during a 9-4 win over the Indianapolis Indians on Wednesday.
