Darien 8, Manhasset (NY) 4 - Mike Ryan and Colin Delaney each collected two goals and one assist as Darien posted the impressive non-league road victory over preseason No. 2 ranked Manhasset last night on Long Island.

Nikki Dysenchuk, Tyler Foley, John Bolton and Kevin Joy also tallied for Darien (12-1 overall, still 9-0 in the FCIAC). Jamison Love made 15 saves in net.

The score was tied 3-3 at halftime and Manhasset led 4-3 before Darien exploded for five goals in the final quarter.

Pat Levy registered 12 saves in net for Manhasset (10-3).

Darien hosts Ridgefield in a matchup of FCIAC unbeatens Saturday at 4 p.m. at Darien High School.

Fairfield Ludlowe 8, Branford 6 - Sam Canella had two goals and an assist while Ben Stearns also scored two goals to help the Falcons even their record at 6-6.

Tyler Cullinan had a goal and an assist, Jeff Saverine, Mike Deliberti and Josh Barnett each scored a goal while goalie Dan O'Rourke had 16 saves for Ludlowe.
