Top football players honored on All-FCIAC teams

A total of 82 football players on 19 teams were recognized for their performances this season, earning spots in the All-FCIAC First Teams for 2011.

The Norwalk Bears (9-2) and Darien Blue Wave (8-2) both placed a league-high nine players on the All-FCIAC First Teams, while New Canaan (11-2), the Class L runner-up, had eight receive top honors.
FCIAC champion and Class LL runner-up Staples (11-1) earned seven First Team nods, as did league runner-up Greenwich (8-2) and Ridgefield (8-3).
