The Darien Blue Wave leads a trio of FCIAC teams on the latest Connecticut High School boys ice hockey poll, as compiled by the New Haven Register.
Darien, which is 7-1-1 this winter, remained at No. 4 this week, as the top four spots were unchanged from last week.
Fairfield Prep, which received all 17 first-place votes, ranks No. 1 with 170 points, followed by No. 2 Notre Dame-West Haven (7-2) with 146 points, No. 3 Xavier (6-3-1) with 128 points, and No. 4 Darien with 125 points.
The Ridgefield Tigers (6-3) had 103 points and moved up to the No. 5 spot from seventh place last week, leapfrogging past the St. Joseph Cadets (6-3), who remained sixth with 80 points. The Tigers defeated the Cadets, 6-5 in overtime, on Saturday, and the teams will get together for a rematch at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at The Rinks at Shelton.
