The Danbury Hatters and Fairfield-Warde Mustangs are again asserting themselves on the Connecticut wrestling scene, as both teams ranked in the three of the Norwich Bulletin’s latest poll.

Danbury garnered 12 of the 13 number-one votes to top the state charts ahead of the second-place Ledyard Colonels, who took the other first-place vote.

Warde jumped over Windham and Xavier and into third place, after being rabked fifth last week. Warde picked up a big win when it knocked off the Trumbull Eagles, who had been ranked No. 8. That loss knocked the Eagles out of the top 10.

The Norwich Bulletin’s top 10: 1. Danbury; 2. Ledyard; 3. Warde; 4. Windham; 5. Farmington; 6. Xavier; 7. Bristol Eastern; 8. Simsbury; 9. Southington; and 10. Daniel Hand
