To fully gauge how much respect the New Canaan High School football coaching staff had for Darien's terrific 6-foot-4 wide receiver, Brian Kosnik, in Thursday's Fairfield County interscholastic Athletic Conference championship game, one need only consider the following item:
New Canaan quarterback Nate Quinn, one of the tallest players on the team at 6-2, played most of the game at cornerback covering Kosnik.
