Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference and Class L Champion Darien High School and FCIAC runnerup Greenwich each had two players named to lead the selections to the All-FCIAC girls volleyball first team.
Senior setter Emily Cordner and senior co-captian Phoebe Maglathlin were the Darien honorees. Top hitter senior Erika Videtto and senior Olanna Nissim were picked from Greenwich.
Completing the first team choices were Trumbull's Heather Braunagel, Staples' Corrie Brunit, Alyse Hopkins of St. Joseph and Danbury's Amanda Ghannam.
Cordner was named Most Valuable Player while Greenwich's Steve Lapham was tabbed Coach of the Year.
Darien also had two players --senior co-captian Sam Stevenson and junior Sarah Gorski -- top the selections to the All-FCIAC second team.
Completing the second team are Stamford's Olivia Demetros, New Canaan's Katie Cooper, Ridgefield's Shannon Galowski and Greenwich's Sarah Gally.
Members of the All-FCIAC third team are Stamford's Melanie Lopez, Trinity Catholic's Cayleigh Griffin, Chelsea Glynn of St. Joseph, Trumbull's Tracey Hahn, Fairfield Ludlowe's Ali Krakau, Danbury's Lauren Rotunda, Staples' Jacquie Sugel and Greenwich's Katrina Wells.
Leading the list of honorable mention selections are Stamford High's Abigail Agaran, Westhill's Anna Grimaldi and Trinity Catholic's Clare O'Leary.
Completing the list are Darien's Colby Billhardt, Fairfield Warde's Laurie Bock, Wilton's Stephanie Boyles, Trumbull's Caitlin Chin, Brien McMahon's Angelique Cruz, Bridgeport Central's Nikita Gittens, New Canaan's Melissa Halpert, Ridgefield's Megan Heut, Greenwich's Kristen Jenkins, Micki Keltos of St. Joseph, Danbury's Melanie Lombardi, Warren Harding's Carmarla Reid, Staples' Nellie Stagg, Fairfield Ludlowe's Julie Warren and Bassick's Bianca Rivera.
