TRUMBULL — Greenwich faced a familiar problem at halftime of its FCIAC football game with Trumbull. Could the No. 5 ranked Cardinals find a way to win.
“Fortunately, and unfortunately, we’ve been in this situation before,” Greenwich coach Anthony Morello said after Greenwich posted a convincing 44-12 victory. “We were tied with Shelton (lost 34-14) and were down by four points to St. Joseph (24-20 loss). I told the boys at the half tonight to seize the moment. They did that in all phases.”
