DARIEN — Ceci Stein was having a chat about girls lacrosse with her uncle when he brought up the subject of Darien’s drought against Manhasset.
It had been a while.
“I had cousins who played a couple of years ago and he was saying how this was a really big deal because we hadn’t beaten them in so long,” Stein said. “My freshman year, we were really close and we lost in overtime. That was disappointing.”
That disappointment has now turned to exaltation.
