Eddy Garabito-Soto had fallen out of love with baseball.
Having played in the Dominican Republic since the time he learned to walk, Garabito-Soto had put everything into the game, but was tired of pursuing the dream of making it off the island to play Major League Baseball.
He was burnt out from the high-pressure of baseball in the Dominican Republic and thought he was done with the sport.
