FAIRFIELD — The New Canaan girls lacrosse team has gone where no Ram has gone before.
For the first time in program history, New Canaan is the FCIAC and state champion in the same year, capping its season with a dramatic 14-13 victory over rival Darien in the CIAC Class L final Saturday at Sacred Heart University.
