DARIEN — It wasn’t a familiar spot for the New Canaan girls ice hockey team.
Five minutes into their game against visiting Guilford, the Rams were trailing 2-1. It was an unusual feeling for a team which was unbeaten and hadn’t allowed more than a goal to any opponent in 13 games.
As it turns out, New Canaan was just getting warmed up.
