Not all state tournament games are created equally, a sentiment that rang especially true as SCC champion Notre Dame-West Haven went head-to-head with FCIAC champion Ridgefield in the Division I boys hockey state tournament quarterfinal round on Saturday.
With the game tied in the final four minutes, it was Notre Dame-West Haven that emerged victorious 2-1 on a late goal by senior captain Grant Curtis.
