HAMDEN — The No. 1 team in state boys hockey was down a goal in the CIAC Division I championship game Tuesday night, which wasn’t entirely unfamiliar for Notre Dame-West Haven against Darien this year.
The talk in the Notre Dame dressing room in the second intermission wasn’t negative, sophomore defenseman Robert McCarthy said: “It was ‘what are we going to do on the next play?’”
