NEW CANAAN — New Canaan’s Michael Norton has heard the same predictions pretty much every time his Rams take on the Darien boys lacrosse team.
Darien is No. 1, a heavy favorite, unbeatable.
This time, however, the Rams overcame the odds.
New Canaan built a six-goal lead late in the third quarter and then held on for an 11-10 win over Darien, the state’s top-ranked team, Saturday at Dunning Field.
