Norwalk football celebrates Pete Tucci, Cam Edwards at UConn football game

Members of the Norwalk football program meet with former Bear Cam Edwards, now a freshman at UConn, following the Huskies’ 19-14 win over Fresno State at Rentschler Field on Saturday.

The Connecticut High School Coaches Association (CHSCA) recognized its Hall of Fame class of 2022 at UConn’s football against Fresno State at Rentschler Field on Saturday.

FCIAC coaches included in this year’s class are Rob Murray, Danbury’s boys cross country and track and field coach, and Pete Tucci, the football and baseball coach from Norwalk High. The Hall of Fame Class of 2022 was brought onto the field at the end of the first quarter and introduced to the crowd.

Attending the game were members of the Norwalk HS football program, which Pete Tucci and Sean Ireland have returned to the sidelines to coach this fall.

The team attended to support not only Coach Tucci but also UConn freshman running back Cam Edwards, the 2021 FCIAC Player of the Year and a First Team All State selection as a senior with the Bears during the 2021-22 school year.

UConn upset heavily-favored Fresno State 19-14 to make it a great day for all in attendance!
