WESTPORT — The past two years, the Ridgefield field hockey team has been yearning for a little Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference respect, to be considered in the same conversation with FCIAC powerhouses Staples, Darien and New Canaan.
On Tuesday, after losing twice to the Wreckers in the regular season, the third time was the charm for the Tigers, who earned some of that respect.
