TRUMBULL — Nick Adzima, a former St. Joseph football player, was on a party bus Friday heading to his wedding rehearsal dinner with his bride to be, Brittany Batten, a former St. Joseph cheerleader.
Those on the bus erupted in cheers around 9:30 p.m. upon learning Adzima’s cousin and present St. Joseph quarterback Matt Morrissey connected with Brendan Arroyo on a 6-yard touchdown pass to give the No. 2 Hogs a 17-14 lead over then-No. 4 Ridgefield late in the fourth quarter.
