No. 9 Hamden boys hockey rallies to salvage draw against No. 10 Greenwich

HAMDEN — Over the opening 16 minutes on Monday, Greenwich used its size and strength to control the play. Enough so, the 10th-ranked Cardinals built a two-goal lead over ninth-ranked Hamden.

But when Greenwich kept on dumping the puck out of its own zone for icing after icing call in the second period, the Green Dragons took advantage and scored twice as the two teams played to a 2-2 overtime tie in a non-conference contest at the Louis Astorino Rink.
