FAIRFIELD — There were 44 FCIAC softball championships won before Fairfield Ludlowe claimed its first in 2021. A year later the Falcons have further solidified themselves as a softball powerhouse, defeating Danbury 2-0 to claim its second straight title on Wednesday at Sacred Heart University. The FCIAC boys lacrosse final has been moved to Saturday morning, due to the funeral of a Darien student who died last week. The game between No. 1 Darien and No. 3 Wilton will now be played at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Brien McMahon.
